Our thermographers are certified at the Infrared Training Center, a division of Flir Systems. This ITC certification is a world class training and certification program. All of their instructors are ASNT NDT Level 3 certified. The Infrared Training Center (ITC), with headquarters in Boston and Stockholm, and regional training facilities around the globe, is the world's finest infrared training and certification organization. Thermographers certified through ITC thus have solid and professional training in taking and interpreting thermographic images.
Predictive maintenance (Equipment Condition Based maintenance) is often the most efficient and cost effective means of avoiding equipment failure. However, it is not intended to replace preventive maintenance.

Infrared scanning by Long Electric enables us to spot many problems that exist. Infrared scanning precisely measures the surface temperature of an object. While the camera does not see through or into objects, even heat from an internal problem shows on the surface due to heat conduction.

In our program, any problems that are spotted are rated on a triage basis. This allows facility engineers to accurately assess the situation and plan appropriate action. The following illustrations show some of the different applications of Infrared scanning.
